The aesthetic value of a picture is irrelevant to the success of the psychotherapy since pictures are used as a pre-linguistic form of communication and not as measurement of creative success.

The session is not about drawing lessons, neither is it necessary for one to be talented in drawing and/or painting in order to benefit from Art Psychotherapy.

Teenagers can express the negative feelings they may have in a creative way. Most times what they really want is to put forward those thoughts and feelings of theirs they would not dare express in words.
